Recently bought for my wife who was diagnosed with SVT. I must say the featires and alarms have been a bit of a revalation, and having seen her land in hospital with various ailments, the health measurements are remarkably accurate to the medical equipment in A&E (ER for those in the US) It is (for me), a little pricey, and I know there are Android equivalents out there for less, but she is happy and the unit, (naturally) syncs effeortlessly with er phone and pad; hence the 5 star
E.*****nsI got this in the main for tracking my temp during the night (fertility needs) but have actually come to feel lost without it. It had been so long since I wore a watch that it look a little while to look at my wrist for the time rather than my phone. I like the 'prompts' it gives, reminding you to stand and move around, and the 'sleep' alarm means that I am awoken gently with a vibration on my wrist rather than the noise of an actual alarm. Much happier!
Ann ********attGreat quality strap - yes it’s silicone but top quality. Chose white strap with silver watch to keep the femininity (I’m a woman) and so pleased with the overall result. Very easy to set up on my iPhone (which is a pre requisite). Bought mainly for fitness tracking, waterproof and ease of phone notifications - love every feature. I’m sure there are other products available but this what I wanted. Delighted with it.
Dem******chI absolutely love it, so much that I’ve ordered my daughter one for her birthday, delivery was quick and the my an was friendly
P***boYeah so I upgraded from the 7 - something I was undecided on for a while since there wasn’t THAT much difference, but glad I did and it was the training zones that swung my decision. I do a lot of rowing, mainly steady state & I do a lot of weight training. For the rowing, being able to pin point the training zone is perfect for steady state cardio because it ensures I don’t go over. With weight training, the 7 would often lose track of my heart rate when on the heavier reps & breathing is intensified - the 8 doesn’t waver - it’s even more accurate than the 7 and the 7 was an amazing upgrade from the 3 I was using before. The apple watch is by far my most utilised gadget & is absolutely Money well spent.
Mr ******rrBought this as a Christmas present for my wife and after 8 months of use it is defiantly time to review. She absolutely loves it from a comfortable wearing perspective and also the functionality it brings. It has proven to be totally reliable and if anything motivates her to be more active as she likes going through the data breaking down exactly what she has done.
En*****cirMy favourite one so far. I originally had series 3, then series 6 and wear one all day and night while the other charges. Was finding s3 did not have enough functions so have retired that and now use the 8 and 6. The s8 does have a bigger face that is nice and has a few more functions compared to the 6. As I use for sleep monitoring I like that the 8 also gives a wrist temperature. Like that I. An use to track exercise, especially heart bpm as I’m currently recovering from a heart issue - one of the motivating factors to replace the 3. The con with all Apple Watches is the battery life, especially if you want to use it overnight. So essentially I feel you need two! If I was only using one watch then I’d say that personally it’s not much of an upgrade from the series 6. However, I do prefer it to the 6.
alm******ceI have tried at least three previous fitness trackers, admittedly a lot cheaper than the Apple Watch but all of them failed in some respect. I had realised I would have to spend a bit more but could not find one that all tracked all elements of fitness, told the time, allowed me to choose appropriate workouts and did everything else I needed. I finally decided to order the Apple Watch so at least I would be able to assess it and compare with anything I bought in future. I know it is ridiculously expensive but against all my Intentions - I absolutely love it!!! It is an excellent piece of technology, like all Apple products it just works perfectly and it is the most comfortable watch I have ever had! It does everything I wanted and more - I would have been tempted to keep it for the Toy Story watch face alone (hilarious)🤣 I honestly cannot fault it and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for the best smart watch around.
Cr****C.As stated in the title, this is the first Smart Watch I've owned. Wanted one for years but never really decided to get one. Now, though, I genuinely wish I'd done this years ago. This thing is absolutely incredible. I've gained amazing insight into my sleep, general fitness and being able to quickly reply to a call or text from the wrist in a pinch is genuinely game changing. Apple Pay straight from the watch is extremely handy if your phone or card is buried in a bag or pocket under multiple layers. Battery life doesn't really compare to other smart watches but it's fine in it's own right. Mine lasts about a day and a half with moderate usage but might be a charge daily type deal for those that use the watch frequently. No complaints whatsoever, been nothing but happy with it. I was on the fence about putting another £100 towards getting the cellular version, and having used the GPS only version for a few weeks, I would say that I will be getting a cellular version in the future - the added utility of being able to use the watch without your phone nearby would absolutely be worth it. Having said that, for now, GPS only is doing the job for me and I'm totally chuffed with the device. It's easy to use, intuitive, practically everything syncs to and from your phone and the sheer number of watch faces available make it a great opportunity to wear the watch how you want to. The straps are easily changeable too so if you have separate straps for casual use, but would prefer a leather one for business meetings, and use a third strap dedicated to workouts, it's entirely possible with almost no effort required. Absolutely life changing, incredible device for productivity in just about every aspect of life.
Da****RIt’s much more then a watch: a compass, a remote for my phone camera, a timer, a phone, and I could go on for some time. It integrates very well with the iPhone. I particularly like the ability to change straps and change the face and it’s colouring. Thus I can match it with almost everything I’m wearing. It needs charging every day or so but it really isn’t a problem because it charges so quickly. I have considered getting an iwatch for some years. I’m glad I have finally taken the plunge.
